Data Strategy has announced the first showing of a new product – VeriCal – on stand K10 at this year\u2019s PLASA 2018 (Olympia, London \u2013 16-18 September 2018). The new product, which is available for purchase or hire, verifies that the Out Boa\"\"<\/a>rd PAT-4 testers, an integral part of the QC-Check system, are within their operational specifications.<\/p>\n

The QC-Check system provides fast and accurate safety inspections and the robustly packaged PAT-4 tester provides the perfect solution for Portable Appliance Testing (PAT), cable (continuity and insulation resistance) inspection and testing of equipment protected by RCDs (distro).<\/p>\n

VeriCal consists of a calibrated hardware module that is controlled by a QC-Check style application that guides the user through the verification process and generates a test certificate upon successful completion of the process.\u00a0 A certain amount of adjustment of the PAT-4 calibration settings can be made automatically through VeriCal by an administrator \u2013 however, if the unit is seriously at variance with the norm then the tester must be returned to the factory.\u00a0 The obvious advantage of VeriCal is that the verification process can be carried out on a regular basis in on site.\u00a0 The VeriCal hardware will undergo an annual calibration through a recognised National Laboratory.<\/p>\n

VeriCal is the latest Data Strategy product to combine hardware with intelligent software. The new product ensures the appliance test units within the QC-Check Workstation produce verified and accurate results. Built with a purpose – fit for the process.<\/p>\n
