VeriCal is a software and hardware package that provides a means of verifying a QC-Check workstation is within its operational specifications – and most importantly – can be used on-site by any reasonably technically competent person. QC-Check employs the Out Board PAT-4 tester to provide fast and accurate electrical checks including Portable Appliance Testing (PAT), CABLE continuity and insulation resistance inspection and testing of equipment protected by RCDs (DISTRO).
VeriCal consists of a hardware module (calibrated by an UKAS accredited laboratory) that is controlled by a step-by-step application that guides the user through the verification process and generates a test certificate upon successful completion of the inspection.
A certain amount of adjustment of the PAT-4 calibration settings (offset and gain) can be made automatically by an administrator – however, if the unit is seriously at variance with the norm then the tester must be returned to the factory.
VeriCal is available for rental or purchase – the obvious advantage being that the verification process can be carried out on a regular basis in the warehouse. The VeriCal hardware will undergo periodic calibration through a recognised National Laboratory.
VeriCal is another Data Strategy product that combines hardware with intelligent software providing a method of ensuring the appliance test units are producing verified and accurate results. Built with a purpose – fit for the process.
